Linkys

Lately, I've had a lot more 'down-time' at work. Since the actual amount of work I am required to do hasn't actually changed, I can only assume that I'm ignoring something very important that will soon come back to bite me in the ass.

Nevertheless, I have discovered a few websites that help alleviate my current occupational malaise.

The ridiculous Democratic primary has almost eradicated my love of politics. I expect that love to be reignited sometime this summer but, until then, this will be my favorite election blog.

I also have developed a weird obsession with the economy and the housing crisis. So I read here, here and here daily.

Food porn. 'Nuff said.

And finally...my new favorite. The Pioneer Woman.

The thing is...I don't have that many friends.
"Impossible!" you say.
I know.
I'm friggin delightful.
It just doesn't make sense does it?

The truth is I have a few really good friends and an overwhelming number of people I am 'friendly' with. But I think I was so busy having babies, cooking, vacuuming and, apparently, making my ex-husband miserable that I didn't take the time to cultivate any new relationships.

And now I find myself in a crazy, online, one-sided friendship. You see, my real BFFs all have husbands, homes, jobs and kids. It's rare that we ever get to spend lots of time talking these days. But my pioneer woman is always available, especially when I'm bored at work. She lives on a ranch, she cooks, she takes pictures. What's not to love? And when I say 'love', I mean admire in a non-stalker kind of way.
